Welcome to Estates & Infrastructure

The Estates & Infrastructure (E & I) Section manages and conducts the planning, development and maintenance of the built environment of all 14 campuses of the USP. We are a vital part of the University working to maintain the USP's standards of excellence. Our team is made up of a large, diverse range of individuals working together to ensure an environment that is conducive to the needs of our students and staff.

In addition, the section manages the university's Occupational Health and Safety, provides facilities-related services such as utilities, fire safety, signage, furniture, equipment relocation, room and transport bookings, waste management, landscaping, maintenance of swimming pool and events set up.

Estate & Infrastructure Services

The Estates & Infrastructure Section of the University of the South Pacific offer a wide range of Services from the four teams in the Department.

The Teams are:

The Strategic Asset Management & Planning is responsible for Physical space planning and management of the University Assets via the accepted international university benchmarks.  The team is also the custodian of the Assets Database, which the team uses to maximize the management of the University estates in terms of Property's, Buildings, other installations and attractive items.

The Design & Projects team provides technical documentation, building designs, floor plan layout, project scope and site plans.  The Projects team are responsible for monitoring building construction, maintenance and civil works. 

The Contracts & Administration team is tasked with the operational aspect of the  Laucala Campus maintenance programs in terms of cyclone certification, adherence to the Service Level Agreements  and assist in the design of cyclic maintenance programs for the for Laucala & the Regional Campuses.  The team is also responsible for the administration aspect of the Section in terms of budgeting, utility bills, payroll, furniture and facilities hire.

The Occupational, Health, Safety & Environment team is tasked with all OHS related issues in the Laucala and Regional campuses.
